The agreement
Terms of service
Draft, not in forceDraft. These terms are published alongside the processor terms before the intake opens.
Draft. Text fingerprint 8b952ac225ea. An upload records the fingerprint of the terms it accepted, so the text a college agreed to can always be matched.
Who we are
These terms are between the college and ResitLens ("we" and "us"), the trading name of a UK sole trader. The college can reach us through the contact page.
What this service is
Software that ranks marks a college uploads and produces a plan, group lists and a decision record. It is not advice, and it is not a prediction. The college decides what to teach and to whom; every output is a suggestion until a person confirms it.
The free period
Free until 28 February 2027, which covers the November 2026 series and January mocks. Any college, no card, no limit on uploads and nothing to cancel.
The free period ends on 28 February 2027 and does not turn into a paid subscription automatically. A college pays only if it chooses a licence. A paid college licence starts on 1 March 2027, for the June 2027 series. Its price will be published on this site by 1 December 2026, so a college can budget for it before anyone is asked to pay.
What the college keeps
The college keeps all rights in the marks and any topic list it uploads. It grants us a licence to process that data solely to provide the service, and for nothing else. We claim no ownership of it.
Acceptable use
Upload only data the college is entitled to upload, only for its own students, and never a student name or any other identifier of a person. Do not upload exam papers, mark schemes or a board analyser's labels. Do not attempt to disrupt the service or to reach data belonging to another college.
Warranties and liability
During the free period the service is supplied as it is, with no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error free.
Our total liability is limited to the fees paid, which during the free period is nothing. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
The service does not decide anything about a student. Because the college makes every teaching decision itself, we accept no liability for decisions the college takes.
Suspension and ending
Either side can end this at any time, for any reason, with no notice period and no charge. On ending, the college can export its data and we delete what we hold. We may suspend an account that breaches the acceptable use terms above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
